In the glass, this is no delicate Provence rosé, but rather a rosé with more color, power, and character. The darker color is achieved by crushing the grapes before pressing – not through long skin contact. Dry, juicy, and distinctive: a rosé with a real story.

About this wine

Tasting

With the 25, we continue to move within the Francophile dimension of rosé: not a little rosé in a fruity, sweet guise, but completely dry, almost leaning towards a light red; Mediterranean appeal, intensely spicy scent of red berries, also elderberry, dense texture supple with soft tannins; strongly Francophile, in the style of Tavel & Co.
Ideal with grilled meat with Mediterranean seasoning.

Our Stance

What Bastgen wines stand for

Three things characterize every wine we bottle: organic cultivation, authentic origin, and the work in the steep vineyards of the Moselle.

01

Organic since 1993

We have been farming organically since the 1990s – out of conviction and with a great deal of manual labor on the steep slopes. Today, we are among the few organic wineries on the Moselle whose vineyards are over 85% located on steep terrain.

02

Prädikat wine estate

All of our wines are bottled as Prädikatsweine. This means: no enrichment with sugar, no artificial manipulation. Only grapes, vintage, and origin in the glass.

03

Truly Mosel

Steep slate slopes, spontaneous fermentation, and a clear focus on the essentials. That is the Mosel. We don't want our wines to feel manufactured; we want them to show where they come from.
